I, like many people, find myself making multiple Amazon purchases every single week. And as a result, over time I’ve come up with a long, long list of favorite purchases.
Every time I share one of my favorite Amazon purchases either on here or on Instagram people seem to be especially appreciative. So I’ve decided to start a series of more dedicated favorite Amazon purchases posts! Here is part one.

Rotating Makeup Organizer
I have shown this rotating makeup organizer off on my Instagram story that it ranking to be one of my top sellers this month! To be honest it is one of my favorite purchases in a long, long time. As someone who owns a lot of skincare and has a hard time storing it (bathrooms in San Francisco never have any storage and neither do rooms!) this was THE most perfect solution.
My only concern originally was that it would be difficult to assemble but to my surprise it is a piece of cake! It took just a few minutes. Now I can quickly and easily find everything I am looking for.
It’s inexpensive (dramatically less than other similar ones I have seen) and it’s not an eyesore. It’s the opposite, actually!
Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer
Another item I’ve been gushing over on my IG story, this amazing Revlon hair dryer! I’ve been eyeing the Dyson Airwrap for a long time now, and while it looks amazing, it’s also $550.
In doing my research I came across a ton of different videos comparing this to the Dyson. To my surprise people like this one just as much — if not more. Whaaat? I know, crazy.
So when my hair dryer broke last week, I hopped online immediately and bought this. And to be honest I’ve only used it once, but honestly that’s enough for me. It is amazing.
It dried my hair so incredibly quickly (my hair is very thick and takes usually around 45 minutes to dry) and made it SOOO smooth and pretty. I don’t think I have ever dried my hair without having to do something to it afterwards (either straightening or curling).
It is the #1 best seller on Amazon in the beauty department for a reason! I am truly so impressed.
No Show Socks
If you’re anything like me you’ve likely been hunting for the perfect no-show socks for what seems like forever. 99% of my life I’m wearing one of three shoes — my favorite M. Gemi sneakers, my Sam Edelman ankle boots, or my Adidas UltraBOOSTS — all of which require no-show socks!
But many times in my life I have found myself out on a long walk in San Francisco, stuck wearing a sock that keeps slipping underneath my heel. Nothing worse than that, right? Right.
So when I discovered that these socks are one of the top sellers on Amazon I knew I had to give it a try. The verdict? They’re amazing. I wear them everyday!
Selfie Ring Light with Tripod Stand & Cell Phone Holder
If you are someone that films themselves on Instagram stories, this thing is a total lifesaver. I talk a lot about skincare on mine but have a hard time showing things off because it is difficult to hold your phone up while also attempting to show how to apply something.
I initially felt a bit weird about this whole concept (I loathe those selfie stick things!) but once I realized I needed it in order to do my job, I gave in and bought it. Turns out it is even more wonderful than I originally imagined!
It holds your phone, has a ring light with many different color settings, and even comes with a remote so you can take a photo or start a video without having to physically touch your phone. The light not only has different color options but you can also change the intensity of each. There are 11 brightness options! You could even film when it’s pitch black where you are if you want.
AmazonBasics Washcloths
If you are skincare obsessed like I am, these AmazonBasics washcloths are a must! I personally use a clean washcloth every time I wash my face which means I use two washcloths per day, 60 per month.
These are incredibly inexpensive and come in a pack of 24 which allows me to not have to continually do laundry. The colors are pretty as well and after months of use they are holding up incredibly well!
St Tropez Self Tan Mousse
Warm weather is rapidly approaching (it was over 80 degrees in SF last week!) and with that comes less clothing. But the lack of sunshine and UV rays in the winter mean ghostly white skin for a lot of us — myself included — which is why I recommend St. Tropez Self Tan Mousse!
I have been using this product for as long as I can remember. Over the years my sister and other people have mentioned an alternative, claiming it’s the best, which has caused me to test out other options. Yet no matter what I find myself coming back to this one because I really find it to be the best!
The color is bronze-y not orange-y and the consistency is a mousse which I think allows for a very even application. Because it’s not a clear application you can also see exactly where it is and where it isn’t, which helps prevent streaky mishaps. This means that you will immediately have some color payoff, with more and more developing over the next 4-6 hours. You’ll honestly feel like a new woman (or man) — it makes me feel like I’ve lost 5 pounds instantly!
Self Tanning Mitt
As I said above, I’ve done a lot of self tanning in my day. Unfortunately though, not all applicators are created equal. After using countless St. Tropez brand self tanning mitts and having them break, I turned to Amazon to look for an alternative.
When I stumbled up this one, with hundreds of reviews and almost 5 full stars, I decided to give it a try. And thank goodness I did! It is velvety soft, 100 times more well made than the alternatives which cost more than double (sorry, St. Tropez), and applies the most even, streak-free tan I have ever had.
I never thought I’d care enough about a self tanning mitt to spend the time writing about it, but here I am. If you self tan, you need this!
Heart Shaped Sunglasses
Had your eye on the super trendy Saint Laurent Heart Sunglasses but don’t want to pay $420 for them? Same, girl. The good news is these are basically identical and over $400 less!
They come in seven different color options, making the hardest part of this purchase deciding which ones to get.
Necklace Display Holder
To be honest this is actually an Amazon purchase I made back in April of last year, but it’s one I still love and haven’t mentioned yet so it seemed like a good time to do so!
If you need a place to store your necklaces but don’t want to break the bank, this is a fantastic option. Because it is so inexpensive you shouldn’t expect much — it’s literally just a velvety stand with 17 hooks. But it gets the job done and will keep your necklaces tangle-free, just as promised! I find it especially convenient because so many necklace holders make you hang multiple necklaces on each hook, making it kind of pain to remove them when you need.
Makeup Sponges
There are many things I think you should splurge on (good quality shoes, for example!) but makeup sponges are definitely not one of them. Long gone are the days where Beauty Blender monopolizes the market, thankfully.
Unfortunately for them, these are just as good as the original and for a fraction of the price. I might even like them more than Beauty Blender, dare I say. Plus they come in such fun vibrant colors, how could you not?!
