12 Best Airbnb Santorini Rentals

If you are wondering where to stay in Santorini or specifically looking for Airbnb Santorini rentals, you have come to the right place! I’ve rounded up the twelve best options Santorini has.

Santorini is one of those places you really to see the believe. No photos will ever do it justice. For most people it is a one in a lifetime experience, one that should be complimented with proper accommodations. Prior to my visit I did a lot of research to uncover the best Airbnbs there and today I am passing that info onto you.

12 Best Airbnb Santorini Rentals:

Before we get into my recommendations, let’s talk about why you should stay in an Airbnb. There are places I prefer an Airbnb and places I do not prefer an Airbnb. Santorini is Airbnb heaven. You will get a much more “local” experience and there are so many one-of-a-kind amazing options.

If you have not stayed in an Airbnb before and are worried about trying it out, the list below is perfect for you. I have stayed in countless Airbnbs with zero bad experiences and would consider myself extremely good at vetting properties.

Speaking of which, I generated the below Santorini Airbnb recommendations based on a variety of factors:

  • Home type. Because I personally only book entire apartments/homes, that’s what I recommend. If you are looking for individual rooms for rent in Santorini, this is not it.

  • Price. Since I know a lot of people are looking for cheap hotels in Santorini, I picked out Airbnb options at all price points.

  • Overall aesthetic. Cause it’s gotta be pretty, of course ;)

  • Rating and reviews. They are all extremely highly rated (at least 4.5 out of 5), with plenty of reviews, and ideally owned by a superhost.

Best Place to Stay in Santorini

There are two main cities in Santorini (well, towns) — Oia and Fira. Fira is the capital city but the best place to stay in Santorini is Oia. It’s full of those whitewashed houses you have likely seen all over Instagram and is so charming. It is definitely touristy, as Santorini is in general, so you need to prepare for a crowd if that’s where you plan on staying. The sunsets are unmatched here, too!

One important thing to note, especially if you are going during the summer, is that places will book up early and often. You need to make your accommodation reservations basically the second you confirm your dates. We did not do this and as a result literally every spot was sold out. We ended up having to stay in Finikia which is about a 25 minute walk to the center of Oia. This was a major bummer. Book your accommodations now!

“Argithea Apartment”

ROOM FOR: 4 people
PRICE: $148/night

If you are wondering where to stay in Santorini with a group of four people, this apartment is a great option! It is centrally located but off the beaten path a bit (a ten minute walk to the main path in Oia) which makes it a great option for those not looking to be right in the heart of the tourist area.

There is room for four but just one bedroom, with the other two beds being located in the living room. This is why the price is so inexpensive, I assume. It has a beautiful view and a unanimous five-star rating!

“Yposkafo Jacuzzi House”

ROOM FOR: 2 people
PRICE: $250/night

This Airbnb Santorini Greece option sucked me in from the start with it’s beautiful, high quality photos. It is a spacious option for two and even has an indoor-outdoor jacuzzi. If you are a couple looking for places to stay in Santorini, this is a great option.

Yposkafo Jacuzzi House was renovated in 2016, has a fully equipped kitchen, built-in sofas in the living room to provide additional beds if needed, and is owned by a superhost (Airbnb’s term for hosts that are experienced and highly rated).

“Artia Mansion”

ROOM FOR: 4 people
PRICE: $197/night

This Santorini Greece Airbnb has almost no description but the photos and almost 100 reviews speak for themselves, I guess! It’s owned by a superhost, 100% of guests give the location a 5-star rating, and based on the above photos it is gorgeous. It fits up to four people and is reasonably priced.

“Evilio Houses - Sunset View House”

ROOM FOR: 2 people
PRICE: $205/night

If the best area to stay in Santorini is anywhere in Oia where you can catch the sunset (and it is), then this is the best of the best! This “Sunset View House” is located at “Sunset Point”, right next to the famous castle of Oia. Why stand around with all of the tourists when you can enjoy it from your own patio with a bottle of wine?!

This Sunset View House also has a washer and dryer which is unique for the area. If you are traveling for awhile and trying to figure out how and where you will do laundry, this will be incredibly helpful.

Aside from that, this spot is owned by a superhost, is smack-dab in the center of town, and has over fifty 5-star reviews. Can’t say no to that!

“Opuntia House at the Blue Dome-by Thireon”

ROOM FOR: 6 people
PRICE: $178/night

If you are traveling with a group of up to 6, this is one of the best places to stay in Santorini Greece. I cannot believe how inexpensive it is for the amount of people it holds — it’s unreal. If you are looking for cave hotels in Santorini this is a great option. Not only is it a cave but it’s located next to the famous blue dome. As the Airbnb description points out, why squeeze in amongst the tourists to see the blue dome when you can instead see it at any time from your private patio?!

Although this spot looks to be high up, it is apparently just 20 steps to reach. It comes with a huge amount of space and honestly for the price I would probably stay here even with less than 6 people because it’s cheaper than tons of the 2 people options.

“Double Room in Oia with direct Sea & Caldera View”

ROOM FOR: 2 guests
PRICE: $113/night

If you want to be in Oia but away from the touristy center, this a perfect place for you. It still has a beautiful view and a private outdoor patio but isn’t located on the main street. It’s also quite inexpensive, starting at just $113/night.
