Sephora Spring Savings Event: Here's What You Need

Sephora Sale Hair Essentials

I've been bleaching my hair like crazy for the past year so of all the product categories Sephora has, I've primarily been going haircare crazy. The main focus of my hunt being products that will keep my hair strong, healthy, shiny, and frizz-free through the balayage and our incredibly humid Texas weather.

My sister is a hair stylist with access to all of the professional beauty supplies so I have tried an excessive amount of products and am quite picky about what I like. Here are my top haircare picks this time around:

Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray Anti-Frizz Treatment — This anti-frizz treatment has been going viral on TikTok for longer than I can remember. The description says it acts like a mini keratin treatment and that's exactly what I thought the first time I used it - that my hair looked like I just got a brazilian blowout. It's truly amazing.

It makes your hair insanely silky, shiny, frizz-free, and humidity-blocking. It even lasts through 3-4 shampoos so you don't need to use it very often (probably once per month). Kim Kardashian's hairstylist uses this so if you want your hair to look like hers, run don't walk!

Dyson Airwrap™ Multi-Styler — I've talked about this before but I have a newfound love for the curling attachment on it so I've gotta talk about it again. The Dyson Airwrap is amazing. It blow dries your hair while simultaneously styling it, using fancy Dyson technology to prevent damage. I've always loved the round brush and smoothing brush attachments but lately I'm obsessed with the bouncy blowout that comes from the curling attachment. Everyone, including my hair stylist here in Austin, has been asking me what I've been using and how to recreate it.

It's obviously expensive but like my mom told me, we spend so much time (and money) on our hair every single day that it's worth it to take proper care of it. Plus it will save you money in the long from now needing so many products and hair appointments to fix damage caused by less superior products!

Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron 1.25' — My hair is thick and long and takes forever to curl. My hair girl Taylor used this curling iron on me and curled my entire head in a matter of five minutes. She didn't even section my hair so the entire time I was thinking "this is going to hold for less than five minutes" but to my surprise it lasted days. (Side note: sorry for doubting you, Taylor!)

It uses something called Nanolonic MX and Bio Ionic Moisturizing Heat to keep your hair hydrated, lock in moisture, seal the cuticle, and make sure curls last. I absolutely notice a difference in how my hair feels after using this compared to using a cheap curling iron. If you're also on a journey to healthier, shinier, non-damaged hair, give this a shot. Especially if you have longer hair and would benefit from the long barrel of it. It's amazing.

Sephora Collection Silicone Scalp Massager — Scalp health is just as important as hair and skin health so a massager is essential. I use mine when I'm oiling my scalp to help with circulation and absorption. Sometimes also in shower when shampooing, too!

Color Wow One Minute Transformation Anti Frizz Styling Cream — I bought this styling cream when I was placing a Color Wow order and needed to hit a certain amount in order to get free shipping. It was listed as a best seller and I loved that it was for dry hair to revamp it between washes. I don't wash my hair often and since it's very humid here in good old Texas, I definitely need to re-style most days.

I've been using it for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. I will definitely repurchase when it runs out. If you find your hair is dry, frizzy, and/or needs smoothing between washing days, I highly recommend trying this.

Color Wow Dream Cocktail Kale-Infused Strengthening Leave In Treatment — This leave in treatment is something my friend Courtney recommended to me. It reduces breakage by 50 percent in one use and is said to make your hair twice as strong. If you bleach your hair and have issues with breakage, definitely add this to your cart.

ghd Platinum+ Styler Flat Iron — My mom bought me this for my birthday a few years back and it is amazing. It features ground breaking technology, has won a bunch of awards (Glamour, Allure, etc.), and is the best straightener on the market currently.

It heats up completely in just 20 seconds, has "infinity sensors" to monitor the heat 250 times per second, and auto-recognizes the thickness of your hair + the speed in order to adjust the heat as you go for "perfect results in just one stroke". When they say perfect results in just one stroke, they mean it. With my old straightener I'd have to turn it up to the highest heat and go over each strand 100 times, yikes!

This styler has no temperature setting, it's always at 365ºF, which made me nervous because sometimes I feel like I need to crank the heat up to compensate for the atmosphere. But no worries there - even in the humid af Texas weather it's perfect! It makes your hair super shiny, super straight, and even protects your color.

If you're in the market for a new straightener/styler, I would definitely recommend splurging on this one. It'll save you so much time in the long run and even money because it won't damage your hair like the cheaper options will.

Slip Silk Pillowcase — I've also talked about this 100 times before but I just got back from a month in Europe without my silk pillowcase so I'm back on my silk pillowcase obsession. It is incredibly important for both your hair and your skin and well worth the investment since you spend 1/3 of your life in bed.

The silk also won’t strip out any products (haircare or skincare) that you have on which is important when you use nice products. It not only doesn’t hurt your hair and skin, but it actually contributes to making it healthier! If you want shiny, healthy hair, it’s a must. I notice such a big difference when I don't sleep on it.

Sephora Sale Skincare Essentials

While I primarily use medical grade skincare, especially for the most important things like vitamin C, retinal, and spf, there are a handful of skincare products I do love from Sephora. My latest favorites are:

Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant — A great chemical exfoliant. I use it about twice a week every week and love it. I find that it immediately brightens my skin and removes any dead skin cells.

The INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm — There are few things I love more than a cleansing balm and this one from The INKEY List is great. My all time favorite is still this one by Banila Co, but I also always have this one on hand since it's less than half the price. I even like it more than the cult favorite Farmacy cleansing balm that costs more than 3X this INKEY List one!

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops — Glow Recipe is one of the Sephora brands that I have never had a bad experience with. All of their products do exactly what they say they're going to do and are so hydrating and glowy. This one is my latest favorite. It reduces the look of hyperpigmentation, corrects dullness, visibly brightens, and provides a crazy amount of hydration.

Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi™ Anti-Pollution Bronzing Drops — If you've followed me for awhile this one will be shocking since I'm not a Drunk Elephant fan. I haven't actually tried these bronzing drops yet but I've seen a million rave reviews about them on TikTok so they're in my cart ready to go for the sale. One thing that really sold me was a makeup tutorial using only skincare products (these bronzing drops included) - click here if you want to watch that.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Exfoliating Peeling Solution — This peeling solution is a ten minute treatment that exfoliates using AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) and BHA (beta hydroxy acid). The end result is radiant, smooth skin and improved texture! It also helps fight visible blemishes. It went viral on TikTok at the beginning of the pandemic and is actually fantastic, not just hype. And the best part is it's only $7.20!

My favorite added bonus of it is that you absolutely crazy while wearing it - almost as if you've smeared blood all over your face. Great for freaking out significant others, parents, etc. while you wait for it to work its magic.

The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum — This brow serum is yet another product that people all over TikTok are raving about, claiming to be having crazy good results. I bought it a few weeks ago and haven't been using it consistently so I don't have anything to report yet, but at only $14.50 (plus 10-20% off) it's worth taking all of TikTok's word for it and testing it out yourself.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm — I haven't tried this lip butter balm yet but I have it in my cart because I love the new brown sugar color for fall. It has great reviews, too!

St. Tropez Self-Tan Luxe Whipped Crème Mousse — The best tanning mousse of all time. This version of St. Tropez is a *whipped* creme containing hyaluronic acid complex and rosehip oil to hydrate. It's quite a bit thicker than their classic mousse which I personally love since I have dry skin. They had me at “enriched with triple-action skincare actives“, really!

The coloring of it is fantastic (much more bronze than orange) and the reviews really speak for themselves IMO (almost five full stars after 500 reviews). Highly recommend grabbing it while it's on stock and while it's on sale.

Sephora Sale Makeup Essentials

Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer — The best concealer! It's super creamy and provides amazing coverage with just the littlest amount. I use it everyday.

Iconic London Underglow Blurring Primer — I've been ride-or-die Flawless Filter for probably almost a decade now, but since to TikTok making it viral it is soo hard to get your hands on now. I've seen some people talking about this underglow blurring primer so I have it in my cart ready to go! Currently it has a unanimous 5 stars and is only $29.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand — Another hard to get product (currently in stock, though), the Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand! I just love this thing. I use it every time I do my makeup to sculpt my face. It blends flawlessly and is incredibly easy to use.

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadow — I fell in love with this glitter eye shadow after seeing someone use it on TikTok recently (I really found like a broken record here, huh?). The "ray" color in particular is what I have in my cart as she said her Hourglass makeup artist said it goes great with green eyes. I'm normally more of a matte nudes type of gal but since the holidays are coming up I think it's a great buy.

Makeup by Mario MoistureGlow™ Plumping Lip Serum — This plumping lip serum is one of my very favorite lip products. The "mauve glow" color in particular I have already bought numerous times. I noticed while grabbing this link that there are seven new colors and a new "high shine finish" formula so I've added that to my list of purchases too (once I sort out which color to purchase).

Makeup by Mario Master Mattes™ Eyeshadow Palette — The most perfect everyday eyeshadow palette. It has every color you could ever need, is travel friendly (not too big but not too small), and is really the only palette I ever reach for. I use it every single day.

Kosas Cloud Set Baked Setting & Smoothing Powder — I've had this cloud set baking powder on my list for longer than I can remember but it's almost always sold out. I haven't tried it yet but tons of people I trust have and love it so I think it's safe to say it's great! If they have the color you need in stock, grab it while you can.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray — I have tried almost every single Charlotte Tilbury product and love every single one of them. This setting spray is no exception. It's hydrating, it sets your makeup in place, and it keeps it there all day. A win-win-win.
