SANTA FE RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Eat:
    • The Shed - must go here for lunch! Amazing southwestern food & well worth the (usually long) wait.  Get something with blue corn tortillas and definitely red or green chili - my go to is the chicken tacos
    • Rancho de Chimayo - technically in Chimayo (hence the name) but not far from Santa Fe.  My family has been going here for as long as I can remember (probably since before I was even born) & we've never celebrated a big event elsewhere!  The food, the venue, the staff - all to die for.  Great spot off the beaten path
    • Gabriel's - amazing southwestern food! Get the fajitas & the fresh quac.  Great margs also.  Go for happy hour :)
    • Garduno's (in Albuquerque) - again, great southwestern food (I guess that's all we eat in NM! ha).  We stop here almost every time we land before heading to Santa Fe
  • Do:
    • Walk around the plaza and shop! Make sure to stop by Doodlets
    • Flea Market - can't miss this! My favorite spot to grab some unique one of a kind jewelry that no one else will have
    • Double Take - great shop with vintage goods (amongst other things) and AMAZING cowboy boots!  Check here before buying anywhere else
    • Canyon Road - lots of art shops and galleries, fun street to walk around on.  We always spend at least a few hours here
    • Loretto Chapel - beautiful church with a famous staircase! If you're an Unsolved Mysteries fan you'll recognize this
    • Jackalope - interesting store, worth exploring
    • Bandelier - cliff dwellings/caves you can climb into.  Easy but scenic hiking opp
    • Visit Taos
